Come Visit the Eureka Scarecrow Festival – and Stay a While!
Eureka, Missouri is an incredibly fun place – probably most known for Six Flags, Brookdale Farms, and one of the largest RV sellers – Byerly RV. We’re also known for our annual fall festival – The Eureka Scarecrow Festival – one of few large-scale scarecrow festivals in the United States!
What many people don’t know is how we got our name. It is said Eureka got its name as the Missouri Pacific Railroad was opened in 1853. The builders of the track came around the bend, saw the level land with few rocks and dirt to move – and proclaimed “Eureka!”
